We have exciting Trash Talk news! Not only do you get 3 on-call recycling pickups every year, but they have now been expanded to include all recyclables! (Previously these pickups were only for extra cardboard or yard waste.)
Starting today, you can schedule a pickup for any of the material that would go in your brown recycling cart. It will need to all be Empty, Clean & Dry and placed in clear plastic bags so that the driver can make sure there are only recyclables in there. No WishCycling (putting non-recyclable items in. the recycling bin with hope they will be recycled) in your cart or in extra pickups!

Weekly Service for Brown Container
Items that are OK for Recycling
- Corrugated cardboard
- Chipboards (cereal, shoe boxes)
- Computer peripherals (mice, keyboards, speakers)
- Glass bottle and jars (must be empty, clean and dry)
- Metal cans (must be empty, clean and dry)
- Metal items
- Paper
- Paper products
- Plastic bags
- Plastics (must be empty, clean and dry)
NOT FOR BROWN CART
- cell phones
- Electronics (see Bulky Item page)
- Food scraps
- Green waste

- Hazardous waste
- Styrofoam
Brown Container Reminders
- Collections are weekly on the same day as your garbage service
- For missed service, please call within 24hours
- Place all recyclables in the brown recycling container.
- Be sure all materials fit inside the container with lid closed
- Extra cardboard can be recycled 3 times a year at no additional charge with an on-call recycling service. See on call recycling on Green Container page

Weekly Service for Blue Container
Antioch residents may schedule two free cleanups per year at any time. Use cleanups to discard up to two cubic yards (approx. fourteen 32 gallon bags) of extra trash and items too large for garbage carts. To schedule a cleanup, request the service online at site.republicservices.com/site/pacheco-ca or call (925)685-4711. Additional bags can be picked up for $2.50 per bag. Additional pickups can be scheduled for a fee.
NOT FOR BLUE CART
Do not put the following items in the blue cart:
- Batteries
- Fluorescent bulbs
- Hazardous Waste
- Medical sharps
- Recyclables
- Yard waste
Blue Container Reminders
- Don’t place recyclables, yard waste or hazardous wastes in garbage container
- Be sure all materials fit inside the container with lid closed
- Place container at curb the night before or by 6 a.m. of your collection day.
- For missed services, please call within 24 hours
- Leave at least three feet of space between trash container and any other object, including yard waste and recycling containers and any obstacles such as mailboxes, car or portable basketball hoops
- Before discarding items, consider reusing or donating

- Straw
- Yard trimmings
Green Container Reminders
- The collection is BIWEEKLY on the same day as garbage services
- For missed service please call within 24 hours
- Be sure all materials fit inside the container with the lid closed
- Keep container 3 feet away from other containers and any objects including cars and mailboxes
