There were a lot of great things going on this weekend. Antioch Police Department Explorers, VIPS, Neighborhood Watch, Crime Prevention Commission, McGruff, along with Officer Mayer and K9-Dex attended the East Contra Costa Emergency Preparedness & Safety Fair. We met a lot of great people and shared information about crime prevention and the numerous programs we have in our police department. While that was going on, CSO Harvey and Officer Blanco stopped by to hang out for a bit with everyone at Prosserville Park for a kickoff event with Contra Costa First 5 and PACE. The event was designed to get residents back into the parks and celebrate our Community! There were several events such as Zumba dance, relay races, face painting, and arts & crafts. The kids were very excited to play on the brand new playground equipment; and, as you can see, even our officers are still kids at heart.
