ASAHI Club holds ASAHICON 2019

Congratulations to the Students of Antioch High School for a successful turn out at this year’s ASAHI Con!

Who is ASAHI Club?

We are ASAHi Con! Our mission is to bring anime, Japanese culture, and the convention experience to the fans of Antioch, California. We are a small con with about ten years of history, and we don’t plan on getting too large. We want to open the door to people and show them how amazingly awesome conventions are! All our staff is apart of the ASAHi Club at Antioch High school, which means we have fresh staff members each year. Our graduates are trained in everything needed to run and plan a convention.

WHAT IS ASAHI?

ASAHi is the abbreviation for the Anime Society of Antioch High and also means sunrise in Japanese. We are the fandom club at Antioch High School. We take part in school events and also host smaller events throughout the school year.

WHAT IS ASAHICON?

ASAHiCon is the fandom convention our club puts on every year in the spring. It is mainly student-run, with help and supervision from our academic supervisor, Jason Ebner, when needed. It gives our club members a chance to get training and experience with organizing and setting up an event. The event’s times are from 10am to 6pm PST.
We will have all kinds of different things to entertain you. For more information on them, you can look under the “Con Attractions” section up top. We also have food served by various Antioch High School clubs, the proceeds of which help whichever club you are buying from. Our club has its own table where we sell Ramune, Lumpia, and Spam Musubi.
