This past weekend the Antioch Police Explorers attended a 3-day competition in Ripon, CA. They were evaluated on 16 different realistic scenarios such as domestic violence investigation, active shooter, traffic stop, and crime scene investigation to name a few. They competed against 40 other Explorer Posts, with over 400 participants coming from as far as Utah and San Diego. Our Explorers had trained very hard for this event. Their hard work and dedication paid off as they were awarded the following:
- Individual (male)physical agility
2nd place -Johnny Martinez - Individual (female) physical agility
3rd place – Wava Green - Push up (male)
2nd place – Johnny Martinez - Push up (female)
3rd place – Jahlaya Tidwell
- Team Event Burglary in progress
2nd place (overall) - Team Event Hostage Negotiations
1st place (overall)
