Planetarium Program hosted by Deer Valley High School
January 18, 2018 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Have you ever seen a moon rock in person?
On Tuesday, January 18th, the Deer Valley High School (DVHS) ACE Academy Planetarium will host a special planetarium program about the moon. The show starts at 7 PM in room 511 and is open to the public. On display will be a lunar sample disk containing six small samples of lunar rocks and soil on loan from NASA’s Houston Space Center.
- We will also be showing two planetarium shows: Larry Cat in Space for younger visitors, and Return to the Moon about the Google Lunar X-Prize for older students and adults.
- See a sample of our only natural satellite and learn about the moon and the upcoming total lunar eclipse at the end of the month.
- If the sky is clear after the show we will do some observing through the school’s telescopes.
