Antioch’s Over The Top Holiday Spirit

 

What brings more cheers than holiday lights?  How about “over the top” holiday lights?  Thanks to LightsOfTheValley.com, a website that provides a map of homes decorated with holiday lights, we were able to visit a few homes in the City of Antioch and were delighted by the “over the top” craftsmanship of the holiday decorations! • Known as “Gingerbread House Wonderland”
• Home-made gingerbread girls and boys with hand-painted life-size toy solder men guarding the front door of the “Toy Shop”
• New displays are added every year
• New this year, Reindeers and Santa’s sleigh. Guests are welcomed to take pictures on the Santa’s sleigh
• Showing times is from 5PM – 10PM

• 20th year of display with over 70,000 lights
• On multi-channel controllers for constant strobe lighting and seasonal music
• There’s also a chance to meet and take a photo with Santa ($10 fee) on Dec. 15-17 and Dec. 21-23
• Showing times Monday – Thursday, dusk – 9PM  and Friday – Sunday dusk to 10PM

• Dubbed the Disney House, the Vistalli family have gone “over the top” for years
• All yard art displays and Disney cutouts are “hand-made” by homeowner Gary Vistalli
• The home has been selected by the Antioch Women’s Club Holiday Home Tour for several years
• Showing times are Sunday – Thursday 5:30PM – 10PM and Friday – Saturday 5:30PM – 11PM
